The digital LED display controller allows for easy monitoring and adjustment of the target temperature. The controller clearly shows the current water temperature and set temperature, with visual indicators for the heating status. Users can simply press the set button to select the desired temperature within the supported range.

Comprehensive safety features protect both the heater and the aquarium inhabitants. An off-water warning system automatically shuts off the heater if it is not fully submerged, preventing damage from overheating. Similarly, the HG115 heaters will flash "HH" and cease operation if the water temperature exceeds 95°F, and "LL" with an alarm if the temperature drops below 58°F.
