Penn-Plax presents the Cascade 600 Fully Submersible Internal Filter, which is designed to deliver crystal clear water throughout the aquarium. This filter is capable of cycling water at a rate of 175 Gallons per Hour (GPH) for tanks up to 50 Gallons in size, making it suitable for both Freshwater and Saltwater aquariums, as well as a variety of Terrarium setups.
The Cascade 600 features an adjustable flow switch, allowing the user to increase or decrease the water flow as needed, particularly during feeding times. The directional flow nozzles further enhance the customization and convenience of this filter, enabling the user to tailor the water movement within the tank. Additionally, the filter utilizes 4 suction cups, enabling both vertical and horizontal mounting positions.
One of the key features of the Cascade 600 is its fully submersible design. The filter utilizes 2 filter media chambers and comes equipped with 1 refillable Carbon Cartridge and 1 Bio-Sponge. This combination helps to optimize the colonization of anaerobic bacteria, while also trapping floating particulate matter, removing harmful chemicals and toxins, clearing up discolorations, and reducing foul odors from the aquarium's water.
The Cascade 600 also features Venturi Aeration, which provides the tank with filtered, oxygenated water. This feature eliminates the need for a separate air pump, as the filter combines both functions. To utilize this feature, the user simply needs to connect the Air Tube and Air Muffler to the Flow Nozzle, following the included instructions. It is important to fully submerge and fill the filter with water before turning it on.
In addition to the two Flow Nozzles and the Venturi Aeration, the Cascade 600 includes a Spray Bar that evenly distributes the filtered water over the surface of the aquarium, further enhancing the water circulation and oxygenation.
